Credit Authorization
Last updated: September 28, 2026 (Version 1.0)
This page is the permanent copy of the credit authorization presented to clients in the Four Corner Funding platform. It explains what the authorization covers, what a soft inquiry is, what we do with the information, and what record we keep.
1.The authorization
This is the text shown immediately above the submit button on the credit profile form in the platform. A client provides the authorization by checking the box next to it and submitting the form.
You understand that by clicking “Submit” immediately following this notice, you are providing “written instructions” under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, authorizing Four Corner Holdings, LLC to obtain information from your personal credit profile and other information from Equifax, TransUnion, and/or Experian to conduct a prequalification for credit. This process will not affect your credit score. You also give permission for your contact information to be provided to a third-party lender, if applicable.
Version 1.0, effective September 28, 2026.
2.Prequalification notice
This credit review is for preliminary evaluation purposes only. It does not constitute an application approval, offer of credit, financing commitment, or guarantee of funding.
Four Corner Holdings, LLC is not a bank or a lender and does not make credit decisions. Financing, where it is available, is provided by independent third-party funding sources under their own underwriting and criteria.
3.What a soft inquiry means
The credit information used for prequalification is obtained through a soft inquiry. A soft inquiry does not affect your credit score, and it is not visible to other companies reviewing your credit report as part of their own lending decisions.
If you later proceed with a specific financing application, the funding source may ask for a separate authorization for a hard inquiry, which can affect your score. That is a separate step, with a separate authorization, and it is not covered by this one.
4.What we do with the information
We use the information obtained to:
- Verify your identity
- Evaluate readiness and prequalification for financing programs
- Produce the readiness and credit-profile views shown in your account
- Where applicable, share relevant information with a third-party funding source for its own evaluation
Readiness and prequalification output supports evaluation and workflow. It is not a credit decision, an approval, or a commitment to lend.
How we store, use, and share personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
5.Sharing with funding sources
The authorization includes permission to provide your contact information to a third-party lender where applicable. We share information with a funding source only in connection with evaluating or placing a financing request, and only where it is relevant to that evaluation.
A funding source that receives your information handles it under its own privacy practices and its own agreements with you.
6.The record we keep
When you provide this authorization, we keep a record of it. That record includes the exact text presented to you, its version, the date and time in Coordinated Universal Time, and technical details of the session such as the IP address and browser used.
The record is available in your account, and you may request a copy at any time. We may also be required to produce it to the service provider through which the credit information was obtained, or to a consumer reporting agency, as evidence that the inquiry was authorized.
7.Electronic consent
This authorization is given electronically. Our Electronic Disclosures and Communications Consent explains how electronic records work, what you need in order to receive them, how to request paper copies, and how to withdraw your consent.
8.Your rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act
The Fair Credit Reporting Act gives you rights regarding the information consumer reporting agencies hold about you, including the right to know what is in your file, to dispute information you believe is inaccurate or incomplete, and to obtain a free copy of your credit report in certain circumstances.
You can read a summary of your rights on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s website at consumerfinance.gov. Disputes about the accuracy of information in a credit report are handled by the consumer reporting agency that holds it.
